Prayer for week of: June 13, 2010Almighty God, I come before You this day with praises on my lips and thanksgiving in my heart. I praise You today because I know that I am “fearfully and wonderfully made”. I worship You today because You are God, and beside You there is none other. I ask that You would help me to be the child of God that You have created and called me to be.
Please forgive me of my transgressions and trespasses, as I forgive those who have done me wrong. Please help me to acknowledge my sins, which I confess before You know, . . .
Thank You for Your forgiveness, help me to do better and to be better.
God, I lift before You the young men and women in our congregation and our community. Please continue to bless them and to keep them. Keep them out of harms way, and off of mean streets. Cover them wherever they are, and provide them with what they need in order to grow in the fullness and knowledge of You.
I continue to lift before You the membership and leadership of this congregation. Please bless our bishop, our elder, and the entire Ninth Episcopal District as we prepare ourselves to do the work of mission and ministry. Please bless my pastor and his family. Bless our leaders, in church and government, both here and abroad. God I lift before You the needs of my own family, and seek Your provision and protection on their behalf.
I love You and praise You for all that You have done, all that You are doing, and all that You will do. In Jesus’ name – AMEN
