ABOUT US
Dear Friends,I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to the house of the Lord.” Certainly, I praise and thank God for this opportunity to worship, particularly on today as we celebrate Saint John’s 138th Church Anniversary. For well over a century, the Lord has blessed, and continues to bless our congregation.
This weekend is also Veteran’s Day. I am grateful for the men and women of this congregation and community who have served our armed forces. Their willingness and sacrifice help to safe guard the liberties we enjoy. During this morning’s service, we will recognize all of those who have served in our armed forces.
Immediately following this morning’s service, there will be a presentation of a vision which Bishop Davis desires for us to share in each of the churches of the Ninth Episcopal District. Moreover, there will be an opportunity to sign – up for one of our many ministry opportunities during our Third Annual Come on Home for Christmas Campaign which kicks off today.
Finally, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our visitors who are worshiping with us. We are glad that you came. During our fellowship time, you will receive a visitor’s packet. We invite you to complete the card and return it in the offering plate or hand it to one of the ushers. If you do not have a church home or are in need of a new church home. Please prayerfully consider Saint John. I would love to be your pastor and we would love to be your church family. Following this morning’s sermon, there will be an invitation extended to those who want to become a member of this family of faith.
