Women's Season

Greetings St. John! The buzz is building about our upcoming ‎celebration of Women’s Season in March. Our theme will be ‎‎“Women on the Move for Christ: Praying, Singing and Teaching ‎the Word of God.” This will be a time for us to commemorate ‎the powerful achievements and spiritual gifts of women not ‎only in the Bible, but also in our church and community. Our ‎colors will be purple and white.‎

Women's Prayer Breakfast

Saturday, Feb. 27 at 8:30 a.m. – ‎Kickoff breakfast at St. John AME Church for Women’s Season ‎‎2010. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Dorothy Patrick of St. ‎John. Secret sister and prayer partner assignments will be ‎given at this time. Contact Coretta Collins. ‎

Saturday, March 6, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - ‎Ten dollar manicures provided by Nail ‎Technology, Mary K facials and more at St. John. Refreshments ‎provided. Women's Luncheon

Saturday, March 27 –‎Invite your friends and step out with the St. John AME ‎sisterhood during a 12 – 2 p.m. luncheon in the Bruno Hall of ‎the Harbert Center, 2010 Fourth Ave. North. Don’t forget your ‎secret sister gift, and learn the identity of your secret sister. ‎Make your reservations early. Tickets are $25. Reservations due ‎by March 21. Attire is dressy casual. Guest speaker will be ‎Thelma Scott Nance, Birmingham-based storyteller, poet, ‎writer and entertainer. Volunteers are needed for this event. ‎Contact Juanita Paige or Carolyn George. ‎
